This standby power adapter for LEAKSHIELD can be used to supply power from an external power supply (USB charger, USB power bank - not included in delivery) to a LEAKSHIELD device while the computer is turned off.

In order to do so, the connector "USB" of the adapter has to be connected to an USB port of the computer, the USB port of the LEAKSHIELD device has to be connected to the connector "DEVICE" of the adapter. Additionally, an external power source has to be connected to the connector "POWER" of the adapter.
USB communication between LEAKSHIELD and computer is not affected by the standby power adapter.
